About

Back in the ’80s I had a film camera (my dad’s) & one long lens, but after all my gear was stolen, I gave up thoughts of pursuing photography seriously.
Fast forward to 2004, having moved 100km from the city to a forested region, a close friend gave me an excellent guide to birds, about which I knew almost nothing, & this prompted me to replace that stolen equipment.
The equestrian world eventually became my weekend home for some years – there I forged numerous client relationships across the disciplines. Good times!
The rest isn’t quite history, rather an evolving story, best told through the images & information here, which reflect my diverse interests & connections with talented & interesting people.
Here’s me (on the left). Happy days with much loved & missed Robbie
